East Coast Photography is a vibrant, artistic photography company based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Established in 2008 by photographers and co-founders Ellie Robinson and Rob Davis, we are based at our studio at Fox’s Marina, but also travel across the UK. We offer a friendly and professional service, with no sales pressure at any time and we work incredibly hard to produce images that are original and creative, reflecting our artistic backgrounds.

Ellie comes from a family of artists. Her father Miles Robinson is a sculptor, his most recognised work being the “Giles” statue in Ipswich town centre. After initially beginning her career in the jewellery industry, she discovered her great passion for photography after being asked to assist a leading Suffolk wedding photographer. Several years later, after developing her own style under expert guidance, then meeting fellow photographer Rob, East Coast Photography was formed.

Rob had a strong design background, having worked as a silk-screen printer for twenty years, creating and manufacturing advertising materials for large local company campaigns. He always loved photography and was especially talented at reportage images, capturing people in natural situations with long lenses.

Tragically in late 2011, Rob passed away after being involved in a motorcycle accident. Without him, East Coast would not be here, so we are always indebted to him for his hard work, his amazing creative contributions and his teaching skills. Today, Ellie and her creative team continue East Coast as before, providing fantastic, unique and high quality imagery in all areas.

We all truly love photography. Our personal styles compliment each other perfectly, with natural reportage photography combined with expert direction, lighting, composition and post-production.
